Gentlemen… we don’t often get the opportunity to do a good thing and help others, BY PLAYING BASEBALL…
This Friday – Saturday at Riverfront Park in Glastonbury (a sweet field) is your chance.
Come join me, Scott Dickens in playing in the Charity Baseball Marathon.
Step Up To The Plate is a fundraising event that is raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. It is for a great cause, and you will have a great time.
To sign up, go to the event website… and register HERE.
You can then set a goal for how much money you’ll try and raise.
You can then send out an email to all your friends and family to try and hit your goal.
Like I said, this is for a great cause, and you’ll have a blast.
I really would like to get some good representation from the Bristol Knights at the event.
I had a great time last year. I played from 12am – 8am Saturday Morning.
I played while the sun came up and we actually had to turn off the lights.
I plan on playing this time again.
They provide PLENTY of food, coffee, drinks, doughnuts, pizza, and you can win some prizes too.
Opening ceremony is 6pm FRI, but I think I will get there later, and play the overnight shift.
Come join me… that is the time they are always struggling the most to have guys.
In my 8 hour shift last year, I think I got like 15 at bats… not bad for a day of baseball… and a little extra practice.
I believe my father will be umping too.
So come on fellas, sign up, set a goal, raise a little money (its pretty easy via email), and come play.
Please let me know if interested and you will come out and play.
