Rick Barrett, Jay Gilbert, and Drew Gallagher represented the Knights at the 2012 MTL All-Star Game on Monday night at Rotary Field in South Windsor. Rex Cone was also picked to be a team rep at the game, but could not attend. It was a great event, and our side, the West Division All-Stars played and defeated the East (Ridges, Expos, Twins, and Pirates). Unfortunately, Glastonbury did not send anyone… which kind of stunk. Barrett got the start on the mound and pitched very well, keeping the West on top for 5 strong innings, until being relieved by Ryan Gott (East Hartford) in the 6th. Rick got the win. Drew Gallagher did a solid job splitting time behind the dish, while Jay Gilbert played almost the entire game at short stop, and did a fantastic job… making some very nice plays.
