Recently, our rookie pitcher Mike Castellani informed us he had just signed a deal with the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League. This is Mike’s first pro team and contract and we wish him all the luck in the world pursuing his pro baseball career.
After Mike’s fantastic senior season last year for the Bucknell Bisons, Mike joined the Bristol Knights in June for the rest of our regular season and playoffs. Mike had a dominant year with the team, being named Knights Rookie of the Year and putting up dominant numbers (0.58 ERA, 4W-1L-1T, 36 IP, 50 K, 2 SV, 2 CG, 10 BB). We are sad to see him go but are excited to see him succeed and continue his playing career. Good Luck Mike!
