This Wednesday (5/29), the Bristol Knights hold the first of our 4 Double Headers at our beautiful home park, Muzzy Field (click for map/directions). The Knights welcome in the CS&D Twins (formerly the Tri-County Twins) in for the 6pm game, and then the East Hartford Angels in for the second game (approximately 8:15).

*Note to Knights Players… please arrive around 5pm if you’d like to take some Batting Practice in the left field cages. Also, remember that we have access to the 3rd base locker room for changing before and after the game. We will be providing food for our players between games (Pizza from our sponsor, Sabino’s). Also, after the second game, we ask that all our players take a few minutes to walk across the street and have a beer with your teammates at Sabino’s and support our fantastic team sponsor.

The Knights are looking to get their season going in a positive direction after starting the year a tough 1-3 with two loses to the Rival’s Indians, a win over the Twins, and a close loss to the Glastonbury Pirates. The Knights have played many of the first 3 games down a lot of players, often only having 9 or 10 to a game, and having to play some guys out of position, etc. The team is looking to get all of the roster out to games ASAP to put our best team on the field, and turn around our recent struggles. This team in 2013 is a very talented group, with a lot of new, younger, and quicker players, and we hope to capitalize on that new influx to blend with our veteran returning group and combine to have a VERY strong team.

The Muzzy Double Headers are the best time for our fans and players families to come watch our team, so we welcome all to come down to the field and take in our games.
