2015 brings many new and many old stories. First, a new name, now the CTL or Connecticut Twilight League… something that better represents us than MTL ever has. Also, We now have our Stanley Cup… the Championship Trophy to pass around to the yearly champion. Additionally, we have many new players and some of the strongest talent level for the teams than we’ve ever had. Lastly we for the first time have done our own Coaches Poll, which lets our coaches have their say as to who we think has the best team now. This year we return ALL 10 teams from 2014 and no major managerial changes. We’ve had more people stepping forward to help with behind the scenes league items which has been huge.

We’ve added a lot of new players to the Bristol Knights for the 2015 season, but retain much of the core group that have won 2 championships in the last 4 years. A bigger team preview from Brian will be up very soon.

Tonight our team, the Champion Bristol Knights open the season tonight at the Brickhouse Indians at Sage Park in Berlin tonight at 6pm. Also the Moodus Nationals open vs the Chicago Sam’s Orioles at Bransfield Park in Portland. The last opening game of the day is the Glastonbury Pirates visiting the Loco Perro Expos playing out in Moodus. The last 4 teams open on Tuesday with the Panthers traveling out to Willimantic to face the Ridges and the East Hartford Angels travel to face Elmer’s at Legends Field in Newington.

Good luck to all the teams and may the best team win.
